AbLoads Police is complete Abnormal Loads management and checking software for Police Authorities. It quickly processes and checks all abnormal load notifications whether submitted by hauliers using AbHaulier, ESDAL or a manual method such as a Word or PDF attachment to an email. This means that, for a Police Authority using AbLoads Police to manage abnormal load notifications, there is no requirement to mandate to a haulier the method they must use to submit notifications maximising notification compliance.

AbLoads Police identifies and checks all abnormal load restrictions along the notified route. Date & time defined (mandatory or advisory) restrictions are linked to a unique road segment, length of road, a specific location or a geographical area. Restrictions are specified as abnormal load prohibited road / route, roadworks, weight, height, width, event or other. AbLoads Police advises the operator of any failures / alerts and provides a series of editable template responses to communicate back to the haulier. These are called ‘Restriction alerts’. Restriction alerts, together with the original submitted notification can be automatically circulated to interested parties.

Self and police escort analysis of the notified route automatically advises the haulier of their escort obligations and, for police escorts, advises nominated parties that need to be alerted for police escort booking requirements. Self & police escort criteria can be based on a unique road segment, a length of road, for a specific location or a geographical area. Date, time or days of the week limitations can also be applied

AbLoads Police creates and manages authorised police dispensations. Dispensations can be created to allow late notification or no notification, based on pre-set weight / width / length dimensions. Dispensations are date delimited and can be assigned to geographical areas, road classes or selected roads. Dispensations can also exclude selected road classes, road names, road numbers or routes. Vehicle registrations can be added to a dispensation to restrict it to specified vehicles.

For notifications submitted by hauliers using AbHaulier or ESDAL, AbLoads Police will automatically enter all the notification data and, for AbHaulier notifications, plot the notified route. For notifications submitted using other formats, such as Microsoft Word, AbLoads Police provides a variety of shortcuts enabling the operator to retrieve and load previous vehicle and route data for rapid notification processing.

All notifications and all related inbound and outbound correspondence are stored creating a complete audit trail for each abnormal load movement, accessible when you need it.

AbLoads Police is able to automatically transmit an ‘auto-response’ back to the haulier. The auto-response can include a unique reference number allocated to the received notification. The auto response can also include other pertinent information such as an ongoing peak time travel ban on particular roads.

The mailshot facility enables a communication to be sent to all hauliers or to hauliers based on selection criteria. As an example, hauliers can be selected for inclusion if they have submitted future notifications that are now affected by an emergency road closure.

Because AbLoads Police stores all notification data electronically, data analysis can be carried out. Whether you need to know how many movements exceeding 3.75m have travelled along a particular road segment or whether a haulier has stopped notifying for a period of time, AbLoads Police can tell you.

The operator is alerted to short notice notifications submitted by AbHaulier or ESDAL for alert and immediate action.
