Annual Block Indemnity Submission Request

You are required to provide an indemnity to road and bridge authorities if your loaded vehicles exceeds 44,000kgs.

Part 2 of Schedule 9, Road And Bridge Authorities of The Road Vehicles (Authorisation Of Special Types) (General) Order 2003 requires that an indemnity must be provided to road and bridge authorities in relation to any abnormal load journey made.

The indemnity can be added to each abnormal load notification to cover each journey, or it can be provided as an annual block indemnity to cover any journey made during the course of the year.

Some authorities insist on receiving an annual block indemnity each year.

Cascade provides a service where we will prepare and submit an annual block indemnity on your behalf to all 267 notifiable structure owning authorities and there is a one off charge of £75 for this service.

Please be patient, it might take us a few days to get your indemnity sent. When we submit it for you, we will add you into copy so when you receive the indemnity into your inbox, you'll know it's been sent to all structure owning authorities.
